Sali Gear is a retired Navy Jet Pilot and a Nationally known Examiner and Clinician for the U.S. Pony Club. She grew up on the Island of St Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands and spent her summers in New England. Upon graduation from the University of Florida Sali was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy.  A humanitarian at heart, Sali formed Island Dog Rescue to pursue her passion for saving dogs.  After the devastating Hurricane Irma, Sali used her networking skills to organize and carryout the rescue of 400 dogs and cats from the U.S. Virgin Islands. Sali is currently working as a commercial airline pilot.
